Surrender is often misunderstood.

It can sound like:

• Giving up

• Doing nothing

• Ignoring reality

But true surrender is something very different.

Why We Hold On So Tightly

Control can feel like safety.

If you can:

• anticipate

• plan

• manage outcomes

Then maybe you won’t get hurt.

But control is also exhausting.

Because it asks you to carry what was never yours to hold.

What Surrender Actually Is

Surrender is not passive.

It’s active trust.

It’s choosing to:

• release outcomes

• stay present

• trust God in what you cannot control

What This Looks Like Practically

• You still make decisions

• You still show up

• You still take responsibility

But you let go of the need to guarantee the result.

Where Peace Begins

Peace doesn’t come from perfect circumstances.

It comes from releasing the pressure to control them.

You can be faithful without being in control.

This Is a Practice

Not a one-time decision.

But a daily returning.

Letting go.

Trusting again.

And slowly experiencing freedom where there used to be fear.
